The Eye Care Institute Selects Electronic Medical Records Vendor
Monday, March 15, 2010The Eye Care Institute will be transitioning from paper medical charts to electronic medical records beginning in 2010.
Citing advancing technology and federal incentives, The Eye Care Institute will be converting to electronic medical records beginning in late 2010. Finally, eye care specific software has made electronic charting of medical records a reality said Brennan P Greene, MD, an ophthalmologist at The Eye Care Institute. During the next few months, the appointment scheduling and patient accounting system will convert to the new version of Allscripts (ticker symbol MDRX) Professional. A few months later doctors and staff of The Eye Care Institute will begin using MedFlow software, which is a partner of Allscripts, as our electronic medical records vendor. These new software additions will aid in allowing patients at The Eye Care Institute to continue receiving outstanding eye care for years to come, continued Dr. Greene.
