 About Dr. Jaggers
Dr Jaggers and his wife have two teenage kids in Louisville area high schools. After graduating from Jeffersontown High School in 1983, he attended Purdue University on an Air Force scholarship to study Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering. Upon graduation, he was trained to fly the Air Force satellite system called the Global Positioning System (GPS). He wanted to fly high performance aircraft and after 3 years on active duty was sent the Air Force’s most elite pilot training program in Texas to train with other NATO pilots. He became a distinguished graduate and went on to fly the largest airplane in the Western world, the C-5 galaxy. While living in Delaware, he had the opportunity to fly around the world supporting National Defense and United Nations missions.

His career abruptly ended when he was diagnosed with cancer. Physicians at the famed MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas helped save his life and inspire a career in medicine. He returned to Kentucky and attended the University of Louisville School of Medicine where he chose ophthalmology in order to use skills to fullest extent while making a difference in people’s lives.

Dr Jaggers loves to play golf and tennis but his passion is spending time with his family and watching his kids play high school and competitive soccer.

The Eye Care Institue is opening new offices in the East End and Bullitt County for Dr Jaggers to care for patients in those areas along with having him see patients in their Audobon office.
